![]() If you're prone to breakouts, you're probably no stranger to the drying side effects of most treatments recommended for how to get rid of acne. A shade that’s one to two shades lighter than your skin tone will brighten up your under eyes and T-zone, while a shade one to two darker than your skin tone will contour and define the outer perimeters of your face. What's more, it’s available in 31 shades – the most of any other concealer shown here – and triples as a correcting, highlighting, and contouring product (if you know how to contour makeup and depending on the hue you choose.) Pick up a peach or salmon-colored shade to color correct dark circles or the mint green shade to neutralize redness such as rosacea. This is our shopping writer's go-to drugstore concealer and we are big fans of the built-in paintbrush-like applicator that makes applying the product a breeze. It has a creamy yet crease-resistant formula that both dry and oily-skinned folks will appreciate and is the perfect 'special event' concealer when you need your makeup to last. Girl ticks all the boxes: a lightweight feel, a full-coverage finish, and a wallet-friendly price tag. Take all of the above with the caveat that I've only been wearing the foundation for about 3-4 hours, so I can't speak to how long-wearing it is.This pick from L.A. unfortunately M1 looks like it would be too dark and 元 would probably be too light (maybe would work in winter?), so I think this is the best match for me right now. Shade: L5 is a bit on the yellow side for me as I'm more of a warm olive.I used Lisa Eldridge's facial mist, and it seems to have worked well with the foundation and concealer. Setting: I tend not to powder as my skin is on the drier side, so I set with a facial mist (not a setting spray) to help everything meld and keep my skin hydrated. ![]() I have redness in my cheeks, and one layer of foundation helped to even out pigment, but I did go in with the concealer on the reddest bits just to get the full coverage and to see how the concealer and foundation work together (seems good). It seems pretty easy to work with, so you could do a thin layer or sheer it out for a lighter coverage and layer if you're looking for a fuller coverage. That being said, I don't think this foundation is particularly blurring (honestly, most of the foundations I've used which are best at blurring tend to be more on the matte side), and although it isn't settling into pores and lines, it seems to be making bumps (like small pimples) stand out more? Or at the very least, does nothing to de-emphasize them. The foundation doesn't seem to be settling into my pores or fine lines, though the primer I used may be helping there. (again, I am wearing a luminous primer underneath, so that may be contributing to the dew.) Not sticky, but for those looking for a more velvety or matte finish, powder will be a must. Finish: pretty natural, slightly on the dewy side but definitely not "glass skin" or super wet or glow-y-looking.But I definitely don't consider this a star product or must-have. Could be user error I may just need more time figuring out how to best use this brush. ![]() the finish using the brush was a little bit streaky and patchy, so I went back in with a sponge to smooth it out. ![]()
